Mabella Marble is one of the firms that strive to come up with artworks making difference at each fair. Based in Afyon, the firm shone out with the world’s only playable zurna made of marble. Made of the white marble extracted at the Muğla Yılanlı Quarry of Mabella Marble, the zurna, which is a traditional Turkish instrument, was completely hand-made, and it took three years to build it. And the production of this elegant piece of work has a special story since it was realized by the 3rd generation representative of a family dedicated to zurna and clarinet production. Following the steps of his grandfather, Erman Özdemir considers this marble zurna as “A dream coming true” with contributions of Sayın INC.

The marble zurna shines out with the golden dust it features. The metal pieces on the product are covered with 22-carat pure gold dust. Özdemir, the producer of the zurna, said, “It’s the result of long work and 100% hand-made. We made it become a reality thanks to Sayın INC. and Kadir Sayın’s support. Its sound quality is high. It can produce a sound that two zurnas could produce normally. People are asking its price. I think it’s invaluable, a collection piece.” Giving a small concert at the event, Halil Çokyürekli, a musician from TRT Izmir Radio, told that he was impressed by the sound of marble zurna.
