Gray was the color that marked the last 4-5 years in the natural stone sector… A period in which grays reigned wherever you looked and almost every company made an effort to open a gray quarry. Recent fairs have shown us that while gray still reigns supreme, beige stones have started to come to the fore again. As such, the companies that have a say in beige marble production have increased their activity. D Marble is undoubtedly one of them…
Let’s start by recalling the story of the Diyarbakır-based company. D Mermer stood up with an exemplary partnership structure… Elbat Mining, Dimer, Diyar Mining and Medos Mining, which were competitors of each other, came together and bought the shares of Toprak Marble from Demirören Group. The company, which had been idle since 2010, was revived with an investment of 30 million liras. After the transfer in May 2019, production started in the 20 thousand square meter factory in Lice and the quarries in Hani and Kocaköy.
The company still stands out with its advantage in beige production. D Marble, which produces in Hani and Kocaköy quarries, has the advantage of being able to offer almost every shade of beige to the market. The company continues to sell 6 different beiges under the names Bella Beige, Bella Flower, Bella Cream, Tigris Beige, Tigris Antique Beige and Tigris Sandwave.
Abdullah Onat, export manager of D Marble, is very happy with the recent performance especially in the Indian market. He states that there is a serious interest especially in Tigris Beige and Tigris Antique Beige and continues as follows: “We continue production in our Kocaköy and Hani quarries. Tigris Beige as a block has gained a popular place in the Far East market, especially in China and India. We are also working for Europe and the Middle East as slabs. In addition, Bella Beige and Bella Flower are our brand stones. We see that beige is increasing its popularity again. This is also pleasing for us.”
