The last hours of Marble 2022… We take one last tour of the halls to see if we missed anything. At this very moment, a stand catches our eye. It combines simplicity and elegance in a very clear way. We look at the company, the name doesn’t sound familiar at all. Then it’s time to meet. We say ‘Hello’, enter the booth and this is exactly how our story with MCD Marble begins. We start a conversation with Fatih Damgacı, the export manager of the company, and listen to the story of MCD.

MCD Marble, headquartered in Istanbul, was established in 2013, but started to produce natural stone from Kastamonu Quarry in 2022. Marble 2022 was the first exhibition of the company. Offering a stylish variety in gray marble, MCD Marble extracts 4 different stones from Kastamonu Quarry under the names MCD Spider, MCD Castle Grey, MCD William Grey and MCD Caramel Grey. The new product that the company has highlighted recently is MCD Latte Carisma…

White lines dance on a gray background. It is a decorative stone with its color and elegance. This makes Latte Carisma a strong option for special projects… Fatih Damgacı, Export Manager of MCD Marble, underlined that they have been continuing production at Kastamonu Quarry since September 2022, “We are a new company. However, I think we have introduced our stone and our company in the best way in a short time. After Izmir Marble, we participated in fairs such as Verona Marmomac, Bursa Blok, Dubai Big 5. We also developed our customer portfolio with sectoral trade delegations.”

The steps taken in a short period of time and the intensive work tempo are reflected in the results. Mr. Fatih summarizes the point reached and their goals as follows: “In a short period of time, we exported blocks to countries such as China, India, Indonesia, Taiwan and Italy, and slabs to the USA, Australia and Europe. Latte Carisma is one of our special stones. It received a serious response in the market in a short time. We received orders for some special projects. We strive to add new ones to the countries we export to every day. We are waiting for the legal procedures to open two new quarries in the Kastamonu region.”
