Ege Gümüş is one of the brand stones of Turkey. It has maintained its popularity for years and has become one with Muğla. Erçakım Mining, the manufacturer and exporter of this precious stone to all parts of the world, has been actively contributing to the Turkish natural stone industry since 1988. Erkan Çakım, the board chairman of the firm, underlines that they have been producing Ege Gümüş at the quarry in Yatağan since 2013. Çakım says, “Our quarry has a production capacity of 50.000 tons a year. We export both as blocks and cut-to-size products. Our main block markets are China and India. In the last period, we have increased our production capacity thanks to our investments at our factory. We mainly export cut-to-size products to countries such as the USA, Australia, Israel, Palestine, and Iraq.”
