We met this duo at the 2022 Bursa Block Fair… Production had started only a few days ago, and the first blocks were brought to Bursa in a hurry. Spica and Tyana, which bear the signature of Ermaş Marble, were extracted from the company’s Yatağan Quarry. Spica had a more mobile structure. With grey and brown tones and blue patterns on it, it almost gave the message “I am ready for Bookmatch use”. Tyana had a simpler, heavier and more elegant beauty.

It is possible to say that the two stones with dolomitic structure have reached a point that is noticed in the sector within 2 years. Ermaş, the producer of two brand stones such as Patara Beige and Muğla White, was in pursuit of creating two new brands. We talked to Hakan Ercan, Ermaş Marble Board Member, about the journey of two stones in China.

Ercan is pleased with the interest in both Spica and Tyana compared to the period the sector is going through. He underlines that we are going through a period when boutique and moving stones are in fashion and continues: “Spica and Tyana first received a serious response in the Gulf market. Its performance has reached a good point in Europe and the USA. In the Chinese market, moving stones are the favourite of the last period and our bookmatches here attracted a lot of attention.”
