One of the most important stops in Turkey’s exports is the Gulf market… Together with the USA, it is the heart of the processed product market… One of the biggest followers of Turkish stone in this critical market is Amco Marble… Amco Marble, which started out as an Egyptian importer in 2001 and started to operate in the United Arab Emirates over the years, is still among the biggest companies in the region. Since 2005, Amco Marble has been importing Turkish stones and Ahmet Hatem, Chairman of the Board of Directors, continues to ‘pursue the best’.
Underlining that they are one of the largest importers in the region, Hatem said, “We are trying to both read the demands of the market and find the most special stones to meet these demands. We have realized special projects in the Gulf region. Especially Dubai is a very valuable location for us. We see that the market has recently demanded more boutique stones. We will continue to find the most special stones from Turkey and other countries and present them to the Gulf market.”
