Pusula Marble was one of the most active companies in the natural stone sector in block exports… The company, which reached very good sales figures especially in the Chinese market and always took its place on the rostrum in export awards, set a new route in 2021. Pusula would now also enter production. R&D studies were carried out, and a decision was made in Erdemli, Mersin. Establishing a sister company called Hermes Marble, Pusula started the production of a new gray stone. This new gray, called Ilon Grey, was presented to the industry for the first time at Izmir Marble last year.
So how was this one year for Ilon Grey? Etkin Cihangiroğlu, Chairman of the Board of Pusula Marble, answered this question as follows: “Entering into production was an issue we had been evaluating for a long time. In this direction, we established Hermes Marble and started İlon Grey production. First of all, the comments the stone received in the sector were pleasing for us. We think that Ilon Grey is a unique stone. It is suitable for all surface treatments. Its durability is very high. It is suitable for use in almost every area from floors to columns, from exteriors to wet areas. We have reached a good point even in a period when the Chinese market is so stagnant. I think this momentum will increase even more in 2023.”
