A Three-Year Strategy
We discuss this approach with Ahmet Şahin, Chairman of the Board of Şahinler Mermer. He emphasizes that not only the beauty of the stone but also the mindset of the quarry owner is crucial: “To position a stone at a certain level in the market, you first need partners who share the right marketing vision. We generally adopt a three-year planning process: the first year is the investment phase, the second year is about gaining market visibility, and the third year is turning the product into a trend. As long as the quarry owner stands behind the stone, we invest in it. However, our first preference is always quarries that follow a controlled production approach.”

That’s because these stones had never been viewed through the eyes of architects or clients. We first imagined how each stone would look within a project. That has been our greatest success.
