Marmomac 2021 focus on key markets

Marmomac 2021 attended in person again with a focus on key markets to relaunch the Italian natural stone industry. United States, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Germany and France are some of the countries chosen for promotion and incoming buyers with Confindustria Marmomacchine and ICE Trade Agency.

The Italian natural stone industry will meet once more in Verona: Marmomac (29 September-2 October 2021) will be attended in person once again. The landmark show for natural stone, its applications in design fields and the most advanced processing technologies aims to ensure major support and promote to restart a sector that is one of Italy’s fields on excellence.

The main markets where Marmomac and its traditional partners Confindustria Marmomacchine and ICE Trade Agency have chosen to invest as regards incoming promotion include Saudi Arabia, Austria, United Arab Emirates, France, Germany, Morocco, Qatar, United Kingdom, Russia, United States and Switzerland. These European and non-European markets can rely on Marmomac’s deep-rooted international vocation, by now expanded by a network of events ensuring a permanent presence in the United States (StoneExpo Marmomac Americas) and Brazil (Vitória Stone Fair and Cachoeiro Stone Fair).

“At last,” said Giovanni Mantovani, CEO of Veronafiere, “we are ready to resume events attended in person 29 September-2 October. We have overcome a design and organizational challenge by investing in the concept of holding trade fairs in total safety and innovating our business model to support companies. We are determined to create an edition that will relaunch the sector, from natural stone to technology. This is why, in collaboration with Confindustria Marmomacchine and ICE Trade Agency, we are working on highly qualified and profiled incoming promotion. The format will also be extremely versatile. The market has changed and so has the trade fair. The marketing mix and multi-channelling ensure added value for the main event that will also expand content and contacts through the Marmomac Plus platform, thereby further stimulating exports and the domestic market.”

Inasmuch, after the online experience with the Marmomac Digital Edition in 2020, business in the natural stone sector returns in person to the trade fair in total safety. In accordance with the Decree Law dated 23 July 2021, entrance to the Exhibition Centre will require the presentation of a Green Pass or an antigenic or molecular swab with a negative result performed within the previous 48 hours. Veronafiere has also adopted a specific Safe Business protocol with advanced anti-covid prevention measures, validated by AEFI, the Italian association of trade fair organizers, and health authorities. These procedures were already successfully tested during the Motor Bike Expo event and include: body temperature measurement at the entrance gates; access quotas; rapid swab point; electronic tickets; control of social distancing through 400 cameras; continuous sanitation of facilities and air conditioning systems; specialist medical team on site.

Marmomac 2021 will come forward to operators with an new networking formula, thanks to the already active Marmomac Plus online portal dedicated to natural stone professionals. This tool functions alongside the event attended in person by bringing the community together and creating a path towards the show complete with a virtual space open to all sector companies.

This new showcase for the international market allows companies to promote their brands and top products, as well as present events and opportunities for meeting. This development expands the potential of the trade show attended in person by turning it into a live event 365 days/year.

All these innovations include the evolution of Hall 1 into The Italian Stone Theatre – Time in Stone, with an original set-up also located in Halls 11 and 12 of the exhibition centre, and three corner spaces hosting Marmomac Talks with live streaming of educational content and debates between professionals and experts in the stone sector. This transformation seeks to welcome visitors with formats and spaces capable of responding to the needs of architects and designers as well as those of technicians and distributors.
