This stone, which Öner Doğaltaş, one of Turkey’s pioneers in basalt production, has recently introduced to the market under the name Nero Vita, has been welcoming us in different places and with different ways of use. Furkan and Tufan Akyürek, members of the Executive Board of Öner Doğaltaş, explain with pleasure that Nero Vita, which they produce in different models such as sandy, brushed, striped, blasting, honed brushed, has recently entered two important projects.

The two young executives of the company continue as follows: “It is possible to say that basalt has recently become one of the favorite stones of architects. We receive requests in different production models from stairs to landscaping, from poolside to walls. We have recently received orders for two prestige projects and have started the production process. The brushed version of Nero Vita is most preferred. Its non-porous and orange peel surface makes it both useful and stylish. Since its hard and durable structure is resistant to harsh weather conditions, it also allows for exterior landscape designs.”

The main areas where we will see the impact of the younger generation are undoubtedly adaptation to technology, institutionalization and marketing. Furkan and Tufan Akyürek smile when it comes to these topics and conclude their words as follows: “Since the pandemic, we have increased our production quality and diversity. We have made our factory solar-powered. Products starting from 1 cm to 2 and 3 cm thickness constitute our main production line. In our 1, 1.2 and 1.5 cm. thin lines, we produce products suitable for interiors. Our steps towards institutionalization continue. Our website has been renewed and we are ready to use technology more in marketing.”
