Fast and fascinating: Taşkent Airport

The VIP Terminal at Tashkent Airport in Uzbekistan has been transformed into a stunning structure by Tenoka Mining. And all within a ‘miraculous’ period of just four months…

Turkish natural stone continues to be the choice for dazzling projects around the world—and here’s a new example in the capital of Uzbekistan. The VIP Terminal of Tashkent Airport, built on 561 hectares, draws attention with its elegance and sophistication. Tenoka Madencilik, one of the leading Turkish natural stone companies, executed this “fast and stunning” project.

10,000 SQM OF LIMESTONE

The terminal, designed to welcome VIP guests, resembles a limestone castle at first glance. The project’s primary material is limestone, with a total of 10,000 square meters used. Large-format stones weighing up to 200 kg were selected for the exterior to achieve a seamless facade appearance. CNC processing, shell cutting, uniform-sized cladding, and gold-effect metal coatings contributed to the flawless look. Inside, waterjet cuts, vein-matched stones, and uniform-sized stones take the spotlight.

GREY AND BEIGE SELECTIONS

Limestone wasn’t the only stone used. For the interior, Tenoka Madencilik employed beige and grey stones, including Tenoka Beige, Steppe Grey, Armada Beige, and Vanda Grey as the four main choices. The project is further enhanced with Cream Onyx and Blue Onyx, adding luxury and elegance to this magnificent terminal.

A SMALL-SCALE MIRACLE

Why is this project considered a “miracle”? Tenoka Madencilik achieved not only elegance but incredible speed. Started in April 2025, the project was completed by August 2025! All materials were flown in, and a 500-person expert team worked at full pace for both factory and assembly operations. With 24-hour shifts, Tenoka completed the project on time, accomplishing what can only be described as a small-scale miracle.
