With a distinctive touch in architectural projects, D Style Marble once again showcases its mastery—this time with Ivory travertine.

Trade fairs are the heartbeat of the natural stone industry. But viewing them merely as commercial platforms would be to overlook the deeper richness they offer. These events are also unique opportunities to observe global trends firsthand. And in recent years, it’s clear that travertine has been on a strong upward trajectory.
What recent exhibitions have also revealed is the emerging focus on innovative presentation and production methods, especially for travertine. Among the Turkish companies pioneering this approach, D Style Marble stands out.

In our previous issue, we featured a Crazy Paving project that turned heads. This time, we take a closer look at another standout presentation by D Style, known for creating that elusive “X-factor” effect in its projects. We’re in a private villa in Turkey. The journey begins indoors, flows outdoors, and leads us toward the poolside.

On one side, the alluring blue of the water; on the other, the calming green of the lawn. Nestled beautifully between the two is a subtle yet elegant detail—Ivory travertine, seamlessly weaving a connection between nature’s two vibrant colors.

A 3 cm thick tumbled travertine set was used here. Its harmony with the green and blue surroundings, the elegance of the pool edging, and the thoughtful match with the color of the swing beside it—all reflect meticulous design. Diek Karaoğlan, founder of D Style Marble and the creative mind behind the project, emphasizes the significance of this material:

“Natural stone has a unique voice, serenity, and beauty. Recently, we’re seeing travertine used in increasingly diverse ways thanks to new surface treatments. For this project, we chose a tumbled finish. What makes it special for me is how three natural colors—blue, green, and beige—lie side by side in perfect harmony.”
