Bosphorus Blue is the latest favourite of Alson Marble, one of the companies of the natural stone sector that has recently shone out with its special stones and presentations. Bosphorus Blue, which made its debut at the Marble Izmir Fair last year receiving great acclaim, makes a name for itself with its ivory and gold colour patterns between silver and blue veins.

“Our stone is unique,” said Alper Özdamar, Chairman of Alson Marble, “Bosphorus Blue has a unique structure in terms of colour. For this reason, it takes some time to promote it in the market. Our new stone is also very strong. Although its hardness is not very high, it has excellent flexibility. It does not break even if there is an adverse situation during the factory production processes and afterwards, even if there is an adverse situation at the final product stage, it can show a great flexibility. There is great interest in our stone from the US and Italian markets as well as China, Egypt and North African countries. We will bring Bosphorus Blue to the forefront at this year’s Marble Izmir.”

Stating that their principle as a company is not to produce a lot but to protect the value of the stone, Alper Özdamar said, “Our other stones Bosphorus Gold and Bosphorus Wave, which we extract from our Kırşehir quarry, have gained a solid place in the sector. The biggest advantage of our quarry is that it has a productivity well above the sector averages. However, despite our production capacity, we do not sell more than 5 thousand tonnes per year. We do not compromise on this principle even if there is a demand. Our aim is to sell our production quality and the unique stones we produce at their value.”
