Call it either a shopping center or a mall. These kinds of places are getting more important not only for Turkey’s commercial life but also for its society. With its hundreds of shops selling many different products, architectural projects, cafeterias and vivid atmosphere, İstinyePark is one of the first malls that come to your mind.
İstinyePark, which was opened by Orjin Group and chosen by ICSC (International Commercial Centers Council) as the best mall in Europe in 2009, now says “hi” to Izmir. Having a total of 90 thousand indoor space, 280 shops, 54 cafés & restaurants, a 5-star hotel with 161 rooms, it is a project worth $450 million. We don’t know if it will be awarded again in 2022 by ISCS, but we can say that İstinyePark has been a huge leap for both Izmir’s commercial life and the natural stone sector.
In the mall section of İstinyePark, 24 thousand square meters of natural stone were used. Four types of natural stone shine out in the project. İlan Marble’s favorite beige Moon Cream, Topkara Marble’s Arana Maroon, Are Mining’s Dark Emperador and Aytaş Akın Mabrle’s Moonstone Silver stones share the leading role. At the 3-floor shopping mall, these stones lie in the corridors and walkways, and aesthetical motives formed in its wide squares create a mobile and beautiful atmosphere.
If you ask who’s behind the selection, harmonious application and stone workmanship of this project, our answer is Ene mining. As the maker of the İstinyePark, Shangri La Bosphorus, Qent İstinye, Sochi Krasnaya Polyana Rixos, Hyatt Regency Ataköy projects and many other works, Ene Mining has once more proven that it is the pride of the Turkish natural stone sector.
The exterior of İstinyePark was covered with Noche and Medimum Travertine. Since Turkey is the biggest travertine producer in the world, and the travertine material is the best covering material in warm climates like Turkey, they decided to use the same material. Demmer’s Noche travertine and Başaranlar Marble’s Medium travertine invite you to witness the quality and harmony of the space formed by the project.
