If this country holds 40 percent of the world’s marble reserves…
If the quality of the marble extracted from this country’s soil is trusted….
If the effort spent by workers and industrialists working hard at the quarries of this country is valued…
If the ongoing economical recession is targeted to be fixed through marble sale…
If marble has an important share in this country’s export rate and is calculated to increase even more in the future…
And if foreign natural stones are brought to this country freely, applied comfortably at airports, streets, neigbourhoods and public buildings in spite of all this…
That, I consider treason…

Now, I’m taking a look at the scene in Turkey and the situation of the Turkish Natural Stone Industry…
Reserves; remain the same..
Quality; is even better due to the use of the latest technology…
Economy; suffers a serious foreign trade deficit while natural stone export is estimated to increase…
And natural stone is still imported for this country’s airports, public building…
In my opinion, nothing’s changed!
